Hifz: Recovery Plan
So it finally happened - I got to a point where I missed a day, then another..then 6 days went by. This was compounded by the heartsinking constant feeling knowing that different parts of my previously learnt parts were anywhere from very strong to weak to crumbling to gone.
This last week has been horrible - almost like a bereavement, a feeling of hollowness and emptiness as I simply didnt even touch the Quran.
I sincerely hope this is because a connection is developing between myself and Allah and his words, and less so because I've fallen behind in my plan and goals.
But today I started reading again, and made a plan and instantly feel better.
As when we fall down, its more important to learn and make ammends rather than sulk.
The two biggest problems I've had until now:

As when we fall down, its more important to learn and make ammends rather than sulk.
The two biggest problems I've had until now:
- I've not had a consistent plan for everything that I've learnt i.e. revision
- Stumbling across unfamiliar words, because I hadnt learnt them advanced enough in ANKI
WHAT HAS TO CHANGE:
MUST WAKE UP 3 HOURS BEFORE HOME LEAVE – 5am.
Just wake up everyday 5am.
This will mean more time for revision, less pressure trying to find a spare hour during the day to learn my new portion, and less stress whilst driving - I can just listen. Additionally day time can be used for anki words.
1.
Wake up and read all you know.
2.
Learn the new section (i.e. the revision period)
in the morning
3.
Car time should be just for listening – make CD
to reflect this.
4.
New words will be learnt in advance – during this
2 week period will be ideal time to jump ahead.

14 pages – 15 days – can I finish by end of
February?
I have 9 days of leave, which has come at a good time alhmadulillah. If I can complete the plan above, I'm actually not that far behind my 'sticky' plan. If I can complete Surah Baqarah by the end of February I will be very happy alhamdulillah. It will also mean I would have made up for the 6 missed days and will be back down to zero.
Inshallah we go again....
